Tie collar for your pooch

If you are letting your dog take part of your wonderful day, why not let him bring the rings. Though I wish I could have my cats take part, I don’t think its a really good idea. :) If you’re having your pooch walk down the aisle I would strongly suggest though, to have a secure way of keeping the rings. Luckily with this unique Wedding Tie collar, it’s possible.

The tie has been re-purposed and reinvented! The “bones” of this collar consist of the same materials in my other collars (extra strength nylon webbing with superior long-wearing metal hardware). Every seam is triple stitched & the collar is treated with a heavy duty stain resistant protectant (since dogs will be dogs!).

I really think this is a great way to have a unified bridal party… hey the doggie is part of it too. Brice designs also accepts custom orders, so don’t wait check out etsy site!

Lovesong : Finally - Fergie

I enjoy Lovesongs that aren’t the typical ones we hear at weddings or the radio. I’ve always been the type of person that likes unique songs because I find them more meaningful. I don’t know why but they seem to touch me more. Strange I know. So I was thinking maybe it would be great to make it a feature here on Glamour This!

To start, I want to share with you a beautiful love song sung by Fergie. Its entitled Finally. You’ve probably heard it before because its slowly making its way to radio play time… but still its a great song which needs to be highlighted.

Check out the lyrics here.

I would be more than happy if you were to share with me your unique, not so known lovesongs. I would love to eventually feature them on Glamour This! Simply leave a comment.

{Good Thing} Menu Display

Even though menus aren’t always necessary to have for every single guest, it can serve as additional decoration and add that wow factor. When I came across this neat Menu display I knew I had to share it with you. Not only is this easy to make but its really stunning and adds that extra wow to any table setting. (Especially for outdoor weddings)

Good thing from MarthaStewart.com

Fashion a bill of fare to anchor beneath each plate. This idea is perfect for an outdoor wedding, since breezes won’t be able to blow the menus away. The menu here is 6 1/2 by 13 inches, folded 6 inches from the top edge. For the cleanest line on thick stock, use a straightedge and bone folder (a tool that makes creases without cutting) to score the paper before you fold.

Vintage Peacock

Being the vintage fan that I am, I could not, not post about this awesome wedding. Don’t ask me how I came about in finding this photographer, but Yvonne Lishman does some awesome photography and this wedding is completely breathtaking.

I call it Vintage peacock… I absolutely love the color of the brides dress a shimmering turquoise and mint green accent so unique. Can you look at that hat! Its simply stunning and works so well with the rest of her assemble.

I also love her flower choice; Beautiful long stem peachy calla lillies with Ivory roses (from what I can see) The bouquet evokes that vintage feel and it really brings out the color in her dress.

As for the groom… isn’t he so adorable? And that top hat… Its like the hats have a love story of their own… I heart it. Though there isn’t much more on this wedding I can only imagine all the little details.

I love that through the picture and their wedding style, we have an idea of what type of couple they are. Fun loving and daring… Congratulations to the both of yous.

Yvonne Lishman is located in Nottingham and provides photography throughout the East Midlands (England). Visit her website for pricing… but more importantly check out her beautiful work.

Handle with love and care

Flowers play an important in any occasion. It can really set the tone of the event. As for bouquets, I find it can truley reflect the personality of the bride herself and not to mention her bridesmaids.

Apart from the actual flower choice and color combination, another important element to any bouquet is the handle. For me it’s as important as the bouquet itself, so I thought I’d share with you just a few examples of ways in which you can dress your bouquet.

Vibrant two toned ribbon braided handle - source
Bold color, I love the contrasting colors - source

I love the use of ribbon to create a cuff for the bouquet - source
Also the beautiful work in the handle make the whole bouquet so glam - source

This look is absolutely stunning, various shades of

Go all natural by using actual leaves to create the handle - source

You can also adorn any bouquet handle with an element which is truly meaningful to you. Monograms of your future initials, a piece of a material of you mothers wedding dress, or even a handkerchief given by your grandmother. There’s no wrong way to dress the bouquet, as long as it is something you love… because in the end you’ll be the one holding it.

{Good Thing} Taper Route

If you looking for a dramatic and unique centerpiece idea, going the taper route is definitely an option which will create that WOW look you’ve been wanting. Though not all venue allow for open flame candles (check with your coordinator) if yours happens to be nice enough to let you - I say go for it (as long as their aren’t children around) Cuz the outcome is stunning…

Good thing courtesy of MarthaStewart.com

Here’s a centerpiece idea that won’t have you burning through your budget: In lieu of pricey floral arrangements, display sleek tapers in a variety of shapely glass candlesticks. Inexpensive ones are available at many home decor stores in lots of styles (most of ours are from CB2 and Areo). Mix them in varying heights and designs to create a table that truly shines.
