Gift giving
November 23, 2007
Gift giving is just around the corner and I personally love giving beautiful gifts. The wrapping can be as important as the gift itself… so I thought I would share some great wrapping ideas from our mother of crafts: Martha.

There is only one rule when wrapping a nice gift - be creative! There is no wrong way or wrong medium to use to envelop a gift. From leftover pieces of wrapping paper, to newspapers the possibilities are endless.

If you are more conscience about the environment why don’t you use beautiful pattern pieces of material. You can get some great deals, and the wrapping can be used afterwards for something else. Have fun!
The manner of giving is worth more than the gift. ~ Pierre Corneille, Le Menteur

Haha… yes I will post something, but first I want to do a mock-up and I am not done purchasing all the stuff! Patience is a virtue!

I bought some cards from madebygirl.com and the arrived yesterday wrapped beautifully in, of all things, plain kraft brown paper. The card pack was bundled in the paper like a present and sealed with a colorful sticker and tied with rainbow-colored (what I think is) hemp twine. Saw your post and it reminded me of the packaging and re-using materials - you’re absolutely right about being able to use something over and still make it look nice!
