{Good Thing} Ribbon Cylinders
February 25, 2008
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had an awesome weekend. In case you didn’t know, my second love would be ribbon. There’s just something about the satin, colorful piece of embellishment. So when I saw these Ribbon Cylinders I thought the idea was perfect for recycling useless cylindrical containers we all have in our homes. Very simple to do, its a great project for the whole family.

Bring varied, commonplace cylinder vases into beautiful harmony with an easy ribbon treatment. Choose ribbons in various widths and colors that match your palette, in satin, grosgrain, or both. Cut the ribbons 1/2 inch longer than the circumference of the vase. Wrap around vase, side by side or layered, using double-sided tape to secure.

I love to decorate a vase when giving a bouquet of flowers (to my mom for her birthday, for example). It is such a nice way to personalize flowers! (Glue dots work very well to when securing the ribbon too.)
