Todays Love Song is one you might of already heard. Not only did it play in the very popular One Tree Hill show, it was also used for a wedding commercial featuring the Canon Rebel XTi. The song is entitled We are Man and Wife and Michelle Featherstone is the artist who sings it
I love the sound of her voice and the lyrics to this song are simply beautiful. Check it out for yourself and if you want check out some of her other songs, I say go for it cuz she’s one talented young lady!
Here is her song ( with some One Tree Hill imagery – for those who find Chad oh so hot)
Here is the wedding commercial I was talking about (and by the way its a real wedding)
Here is a snippet of the lyrics:
So I give you my heart and soul
It’s yours to take where ever you go
and through the years you’ll always know
it’s yours to keep
If you are having a book themed wedding or you simply enjoy reading these beautiful Patterned Bookmarks could be a great favor for your guests. You can even double these up as programs or a special saying/quote which is really important for the both of yous.
Good thing and image courtesy of MarthaStewart.com
Guests will recall your wedding during quiet moments spent reading if you provide them with these bookmark favors. Cut railroad board, a buff cardboard, into 2-by-7-inch pieces. Cut a 2-by-5-inch piece of floral-print paper (you can make your own floral paper by gluing lace-paper over solid-color paper). Cut a 2-inch square from patterned paper. Glue two decorative papers end to end on one face of railroad board. Cut a 2-by-1/2-inch band of solid-color paper, and glue over seam to cover. Punch hole at one end; loop 8-inch length of satin ribbon through hole. Stamp wedding date on band.

Yesterday was officially Glamour This! one year anniversary. I seriously can’t believe how fast time flies. When you come to think of it, I started blogging about weddings because I was planning my own now I’m married and still blogging . Weddings have since become a passion for me and I hope to someday work in weddings. (Magazine maybe – that’s my dream )
Invitation from Pingg.com
I would like to thank you all for your support. There are so many people to thank that I don’t even know where to start. Ok, lets start with the help of my many blogger friends who helped me launch my blog… Merci beaucoup : Lisa of Blushalicious, Aletha from Pearls Events, Liene at Blue Orchid Designs, Emily of Eco Chic Weddings, and Kim at the Event Essentials.
Also a big thank you to these awesome blogs for the visibility they have given me: Lucky Me, Snippet & Ink , Hostess with the Mostess Blog, Perfect Bound, Wedding Style Guide Blog, Made by Girl, Its Lovely, Wedding Blog Awards, Polkadot Bride and Tha Hotness.
Lastly thank you all my link love friends and readers. You all mean the world to me… and I am so honored to be part of your blogroll. So to celebrate my 1 year anniversary… I will host a giveaway. Stay tuned…. details to come.
Wedding Style Guide‘s downloadable templates are easy to use and such a great way to personalize your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and/or wedding. Since they are pretty new at this you can only find about a dozen projects (which are amazing by the way.)10
I’m a tea lover and love sweets as well for that matter (but I’m not the best baker in the world) with that being said, this idea of having a baking party is a great one. Plus, why not ask your guest to each bring one of their favorite recipes, that way not only is it a great get together, but you don’t leave empty handed. I sure need some recipes to make my culinary skills better…. so this idea is perfect for that.
A Class Act
Invite your friends into the comfort zone, the kitchen. A bridal shower around the kitchen bench is a nicely, homely thing to do; throw in a cooking class and it will become a sensational day of cooking secrets and freshly baked treats.
A pink on pink theme has the retro fun of the Stepford Wives without the computers. Make the menu no-fuss. How about pink frosted cup cakes, iced doughnuts, filled vol au vents, scones, curried egg sandwiches and vanilla home style cookies? Yes, please.
Guests could bring a small practical gift for the bride’s kitchen. Or if the bride already has well stocked gadget drawers, pool some money to pay for a chef to host a short cooking class for the group. Cute prizes for all cooking efforts will add a sporty edge.
This weeks Love Song is one that I never stop listening to over and over again. Again, a beautiful song from a movie that not only made me cry for hours but left me with some life lessons. Mandy Moore’s version of Only hope from the A Walk to Remember Soundtrack is such a beautiful piece. Listen for yourselves…
This song would be perfect for your wedding video or even a wedding slide show if you decide to do one while your guests are eating.
Here is a snippet:
So, I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I know now you’re my only hope.
