Umm the funniest thing I’ve seen at a wedding would have to be when the brides father gave a 20min plus speech chronically her life year by year — it was tragically funny!

The funniest thing I have seen at a wedding was when the bride was recording a message to her new husband and she accidentally called him by his pet name… we all started laughing like crazy… and she told the videographer to delete that part of her message. =o)

Oh it would have to be a friend’s little old Greek orthodox grandmother, out on the dance floor and doing shots with the best of them! What a sight :)

At a friend’s Indian wedding this month, while we were eating, one of our friends asked “I wonder what part of Indian this Naan is from.” We thought he was joking, but apparently he was dead serious. To the rest of us, it was apparent it was just a toasted hamburger bun.

I am planning on ordering my invitations with Wedding Paper Divas so I would put this to a good use!!!

The funniest thing I’ve seen at a wedding was catching the flower girl shoving fists full of wedding cake into her mouth before the cake had been cut. They were able to turn the cake around so you couldnt see the hole!

The funniest thing I’ve seen at a wedding is a tug of war between one of the oldest and one of the youngest, ahem, ladies at the wedding over the tossed bouquet. Lil’ Mama and Ol’ Girl were rolling around the dance floor…

The funniest thing I’ve seen is at a wedding is a nine year old who caught the garter. Normally I’ve seen DJ’s make the groom toss the garter again so someone 18+ catches it. They let this one slide and let the kid put the garter on the woman (who had to be in the thirties) who caught the bouquet. To top it off the kid had his shirt off the entire time.

The funniest thing I’ve seen at a wedding was my aunt face-planting beside the podium in between courses at dinner! The podium was on wheel and she didn’t realize it when she went to use it for support.

I was in a wedding last September and in the middle of dinner, the cake was displayed on the dance floor, as the centerpiece of the room. All of a sudden the photographer gasped as the cake was collapsing before us and went splat on the dance floor. I suppose this wouldn’t be funny at all, but the bride had a great sense of humor about it!

Th funniest thing I have seen at a wedding was when the same quote about love was used during the ceremony by the officiant and then in the maid of honor’s speech. When the best man got up to give his speech he said, “well I know this is getting old, but I am going to read my speech just as I wrote it before I heard anyone else speak tonight” and started out with the exact same quote.

…It had to be just a couple of weeks ago. It was as the bride was dancing with her father, and all of the sudden there was a huge crash! We all looked over and saw that the table with the cake on it had collapsed… the cake slid accross the floor towards the bride and her dad, while the plates all slid and smashed as well. We all looked at the bride… she raised her hands and yelled “OPA!”

There are two funny things I’ve seen at a wedding…

    1) When my bro and sis in law got married during the repeating of the vows, she was chomping hard on gum, and said, ” I take you ***** to be my AWEFULLY wedded husband” She kinda left out the “L” lol

    2) Was at a cousin’s wedding and a Aunt of his was the officiant, she had a FOB accent, but was raised in France, so her anunciations were FOB and then sultry (trying to give it some french sound) Anyhow, the funny part was during the unity candle lighting. It was really windy, and so they couldn’t light their candles, so his aunt says “oh well, that’s not important!” lol and moved on. Oh, and also in her opening welcome, she said the wrong date! lol

Hope I win! I could use some WPD money! I

At a recent wedding I went to the Maid of Honor (the bride’s sister) went up for her speech and pulled out a copy of an email the bride wrote to her about “suggestions for her toast”. It was hysterical. The bride is notorious for being very on top of things and organized and the maid of honor is one to put things off until the very last min so it was very in character for both of them. The email outlined that she should first point out what a beautiful bride her sister made, etc. and continued on with other topis she should and should not cover. All the guests enjoied it.

The funniest thing at a wedding was at my best friend’s wedding when she threw the bouquet. Apparently, she threw it hard enough that flew over the group of girls trying to catch it and it landed on her groom’s lap :)

The funniest thing I’ve seen was at my sister’s wedding. She threw her bouquet, but she didn’t throw it far enough. So her friends all had to run to the front to catch it XD

This is funny BUT, I wouldn’t have wanted to be the bride. Unknowingly she choose for her wedding date, the first game of the AL East, Yankees were playing Boston – and it was a day game. We are all Yankee fans, including the groom. That poor bride spent the whole time looking for him and each time finding MOST people in the bar watching the game. When she finally said something to him about this being their wedding, he replied “yes we’ll be married for a long time but, the game is on now.” Needless to say, she didn’t take it very well. She ran out crying, he did chase her. Sadly, they had their first dance later, she with a blotchy face. I resolved then to make sure when I chose a date – I will pick one in Nov. We did laugh then when it happened but we all laugh more now.

My mom once did wedding cakes as a hobby in our rural area. The funniest thing I saw was a reception hall that had been the victim of a rowdy party the night before and there was a 3 foot hole in one of the walls behind the cake display. The decorating team tried to fill the hole with tissue paper and tulle. It looked like the wall had throw up tissue paper. Thankfully the photographer was able to use the brides huge dress to hide the “decorations” in the photos

The funniest thing I have seen actually occured during the reception itself. The reception was held at a local football club’s function room. The groom was a huge fan of this football club. The team had been playing away from home that day so some time in the evening they arrived back at the ground on their coach. The groom realised this and raced out of the reception to get autographs from the whole team!! Everyone was very bemused by it – not least the bride!

I think some of the funniest moments can be during the speeches. I don’t know how my Dad did it, but I was in tears laughing this last December during his speech for his friend’s wedding. I never knew he had that in him!!

Funniest wedding moment — when the DJ accidentally put in the wrong CD for the processional, and instead of “Canon in D,” the audience got treated to Willie Nelson’s “To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before,” and the groom sprinting back up the aisle (to stop the DJ, but nobody knew it at the time) from the front of the church!!!

For my friend’s wedding, the groom didn’t like cake. So she decided to surprise him with some wedding pie.

When we got to the wedding, everyone was unloading the car and the bride’s sister put the pie temporarily on the front seat. When she turned her back, the 3 year old flower girl, unbuckled her seat belt, climbed over the seat, and went face first into the pie.

The blueberry pie wound up all over her little dress! But instead of crying, she just started laughing saying “mommy mommy! This pie is good!”
