La Musique: No Way by Lady Gaga

Last night, I heard Lady Gaga’s new single for her upcoming “The Fame Monster” album said to be release November 23rd 2009. The song is entitled “No Way”  and can I just say that I LOVE it! So much that I have it on repeat. I know, I’m pretty intense.

If this song is the a preview to whats to come on her upcoming album, I’m getting myself a copy!

La Musique : The Nicest Thing & Baditude

Happy Friday everyone! So usually friday features a Love song, but I don’t know if you noticed the title of the post, but I’ve decided to add “La Musique” to the repertoire. “La Musique” will feature songs specifically non-love songs… that are way to good not to feature.

First up, The Nicest Thing by Kate Nash

I absolutely Love it! Maybe its cuz they have a parisian accent…;) but this song makes me want to jump up and dance. Such a perfect song to feature on a friday, don’t you think?

I am not a photographer… but I did okay

A couple of months ago, I tweeted that my cousin had asked me to do both her makeup and be the official photog for her wedding. She was having a really small wedding and wasn’t paying for a photographer so she thought and thought that I would be a better candidate to take pics than say… uncle Bob.

Well the wedding was this weekend… and I was so freaken nervous (if you follow me on twitter you might of seen that ) I was putting so much pressure on myself, that I vowed never to accept to be a photographer again. Don’t get me wrong I loved my experience but dang… I don’t need to have the nervous craps. I seriously bow down to all your photographers out there…  (I have no clue how you do it! geez)

My cousin told me she just wanted say 40 good pics… Phew! I think were good. I took over 400…  Now, Im in the process of editing them. Thats the long part. Don’t worry I will share more with you when Im done.

Thought I’d share a sneek peek with you… So what do you think? I’m not a photographer… but I did okay? right? anyways I think so. 

SYTYCD got me crying a river

Last night, I was disappointed by the first half of the show (even though I loved Ellen and her “Are you two a Carpenter?… cuz you nailed it!!!”) I hoped the second half would pick up and it did indeed. A big reason why I love dance its that it can be filled with emotions all though movement… and thats very powerful.

Melissa and Ade performed this contemporary piece choreographed by Tyce DiOrio’s. The story of a woman struggling with breast cancer, and its affects on her partner.

I cried a river watching it. This piece is by far the most difficult to watch… for me of course. I lost my Grandmother to Breast Cancer and my mother got it too, but luckily she is a survivor. This has a strong message and I hope everyone watches this piece…. because it is so beautiful.

If I would have seen this before I got married… I would of seriously thought about doing something awesome like this.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week. So, I’ve been MIA for a while and the posts have been quite random… but thats coming to an end very soon. The new blog makeover should be done shortly and will be ready to launch… soon.

Until then, I figured it was a while since I had a LOVE SONG post… and what better way to continue the series with one of my favorite singers : Gavin DeGraw. His voice, his lyrics, his music… just moves me. And this song entitled More Than Anyone is short and sweet and oh-so perfect for a first dance.

I have to admit you find the best unique love songs when watching TV shows, movies or commercials. They always seem to find that perfect song for the scene. This time, I was watching the finale of  “Chuck”… and right there at the end of the episode Looking at the Sun by Gramercy Arms… started playing. (thanks to my iPhone for recognizing it)

I’m a dancer, actually… I used to be a dancer… I would do choreographies, shows, yup all of that. It something that I truly miss but my body no longer allow me to move is those crazy ways. LOL (yup I’m getting older) So when I saw this… my jaw dropped.
