Dressing up the tush

Undergarments can be as important as the wedding attire. Well, it all depends what you are planning on doing afterwards ;) There are really cute kits available in all shapes, sizes and styles. Personally, I’m liking the whole vintage/ruffle feel.

These beautiful ensembles are so pretty they would actually deserved to be worn as it… that’s right no clothes to hide their beauty. Nuits de Satin has beautiful pieces for all tastes.

If you prefer having only panties nothing says vintage sexy than ruffles. Here are some beautiful ruffle inspired undergarments. Now, they aren’t for every day use… but for a special event.. why not?

I also think black satin underwear are so sexy. Almost dominatrix ;) Whats your idea of sexy undergarments? Are you a fan of ruffles?

Love Song: The Right Man by Christina Aguilera

Ever since the release of her latest album Back to Basics, I’ve been listening to Christina Aguileras latest work of art on repeat. Every song is catchy and not to mention meaningful. Not only is she what Glamour is all about but the vintage feel of her cd is what makes it even more original.

Her song The Right Man is such a beautiful song. Though it emphasizes the lack of her father in her life, I still think it can be a touchy wedding song.  I invite you to listen to it and judge for yourself.

The lyrics are simply beautiful. Here is a snippet:

Well, I’m standing in the chapel
Wearing my white dress
I have waited for this moment
With tears of happiness
Here I leave behind my past
By taking the chance
I’ve finally found the right man

Hairstyles for a princess

Your wedding hairstyle can be the finish touch to your wedding attire. Whether or not you are opting for a veil or not, you have to treat your hairstyle as if you would your wedding dress… with lots of consideration. Low style buns are very popular, because they can be very glamorous and at the same time not too overpowering.

MS Weddings downloadables…

While I was shopping over the weekend, I happened to find the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. With my wedding being officially over…. I felt sad. The after wedding nostalgia kicked in. I literally stayed at the magazine counter holder the magazine for a good 5 mintues, debating whether I should buy it or not. Well I didn’t and in a way, its like a way of turning the page. Kinda.

Luckily, I still have acess to all the great Martha things through her regulary updated website and this idea, which of course is from her latest issue of MS Weddings, is one that I needed to share. What’s better than having downloable templates. I know I will be saving a copy of each on my computer ;)

Why save the traditional Just Married sign for your car-aided exit? Hang it up at your reception and you’ll get more time to enjoy its message. Better yet, spell out your sentiments letter-by-letter using our alphabet template.

Each character is encircled by a different border, a whimsical take on the old-fashioned look of vintage typewriter keys. Print the 3-inch-diameter designs on standard paper and cut or punch them out; make two small slits near the top, just inside the decorative border, and weave a 1/4-inch ribbon through. For streamers, ribbons are a more polished alternative to crepe paper; the pre-pleated ribbon used to make these swags comes in various widths.

Download the Alphabet template in PDF format.

Me and my dress

Hey Everyone!!!! Thank you so much for the kind words. It’s very sweet of you. So I’m officially married and I’m loving it. My wedding was absolutely beautiful and everything in my vintage glam theme was perfect. Now, I won’t be available all week so I apologize for the lack of posts, but I’m sure you’ll understand.

I didn’t want to leave you all hanging, so I just thought I would share one picture.. yup just one. Once I’m back from my mini moon I will post more. My sister took this picture. Isn’t it gorgeous?

I haven’t gotten my pro pics yet, but once I do, I will make a real inspiration board to compare to my original one. I should be back next week. Hope you all don’t mind. ;)

Change my status - to married

Tomorrow is the day - yup the big day, the one I’ve been planning for, for the past year and a half.

I started Glamour This! because I truly had a passion for weddings. Planning my own, I wanted to help brides-to-be to find ideas and inspiration from my blog. Though to be honest planning a wedding and writing for 2 blogs wasn’t easy… I thank you for bearing with me throughout the adventure.

To be honest as months passed and the wedding was getting closer and closer then content of Glamour This! wasn’t what it was when I first started blogging about weddings. Once the wedding is over with (heck its in 1 day - ok but give me a couple of weeks) I will be back on track, promise ;)

Thank you again for your support and even though I didnt write much about my own wedding and many of yous are thinking to yourselves “for real shes getting married?” I promise I will post pictures of my vintage glam wedding.

If you are interested to know all about my planning, I invite you to read it here! Next time I blog, I will be married!!! Wow I never thought this day would come :D

Photo sharing wedding

There is a big debate over disposable cameras at weddings and trying to think eco-friendly, I though I would suggest some ideas to have the advantage of getting your hands on candid shots taken by your guests.

There are endless amounts of free photo sharing sites where your guests could upload pics freely. This is a great way to have a complete collection of pictures. All you have to do is create an account and share with your guest the account info and instructions on how to upload pictures.

There are so many website, here are just a few (click on the icon to go to the website)

If you don’t want the hassle of creating your account and making cards to inform your guests, then Upload Your Day is the perfect option for you. The pack offers a modern solution to capturing the day through the eyes of your guests. Everyone joins in the fun and you receive all the images on DVD to treasure forever! Talk about a great idea!

They have 3 different packages to suit your needs and budget. Each come with a gallery, some informational cards, DVDs and more. Visit their website for additional information. But what a great gift this could be for a new bride-to-be.

Which ever option you choose, you will have loads of pictures which will only make your wedding day more memorable then it already is. CHEESE!!!

Love Song: All I want is you by Barry Louis Polisar

I heart the movie Juno. Not only is it a refreshing movie, but is very different than all the Hollywood Flicks… if you haven’t seen it, I suggest you run to your movie rental store and get yourself a copy. For those who know this movie, I am certain you love the opening song.

It is very but I mean very different, but if your that type of couple, this song could be perfect for you:

Here is a snipppet:

All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.

Do you know of any other love songs from movie soundtracks?
